Get ready for this one folks, ’cause it is a doozy!
Suma and Deepak had a night to remember back in October and we were lucky enough to be a part of the celebration!
There were countless beautiful photographs to choose from but the ones below really blew me away. And once again I took to google to find out more….
In many South Indian weddings there is a ceremony called the Talambra or Rice Shower immediately after the couple is wed.
It is a gorgeous event to photograph as you can see, but the essence of the ceremony is playful, which I LOVE. It originated as a way for the bride and groom to get know each other better. It kind of reminds me of my beloved cake smash! In this case though I also read that it is supposed to encourage fertility as well! Hmmm….
Anyway, the more throwing and smashing the better I say!
