Sarah and Frank were married on February 25, with their reception at the Cloister Chapel at Sea Island followed by an incredible reception on the Black Banks Terrace. There are few things that make me happier than having former clients refer us to their closest friends. When Sarah and Frank were referred to us, it made me extra happy because it came from a client that has been our cheerleader from the beginning. We photographed Sarah’s dear friend Frances’ wedding 9 years ago. Since then, we have photographed Frances’ adorable family, her friend’s kids, and just about anyone she comes in contact with. Yes, she is the best client ever! When she called saying one of her besties was getting married – we were ready to go! Sarah and Frank were a dream to photograph and in one of our favorite locations as well. What a treat for us!
Family, family, family was SO important at this wedding – all the way down to the smallest details. Sarah wore diamond earrings that were a wedding gift from her parents on the day of the wedding as her something new and a stunning diamond bracelet from her grandmother as her something borrowed. Frank and his groomsmen’s tuxes were all from his father’s custom clothing store Frank Romeo’s Clothing.
Sea Island was an important place for Sarah’s family as they have a home there. Sarah spent many years growing up and visiting the island! The Cloister at Sea Island is a STUNNING resort and one of the most picturesque settings you could ask for! The chapel is storybook-perfect with its sweeping oaks and Spanish moss and the Black Banks Terrace is an amazing backdrop for a reception!
Sarah is an interior decorator and her vision of a soft, romantic setting for her wedding was perfection! I love her attention to detail! The colors and flowers worked together to create a dreamy, elegant look. Sarah listed out the amazing florals that went into her creations: “my bouquet was sweet pea, maiden hair ferns, peonies, garden roses and come cream and white flowers. Arrangements had white hydrangea, white larkspur, white Veronica, pale blush garden rose, white lisianthus, and cream garden roses.” The reception was simply amazing. The terrace was richly appointed with creams and gold and magically lit with candlelight and thousands of intertwined twinkling lights. The black and white dance floor shone and reflected the amazing crystal chandeliers hanging above it. Every detail was exquisite and the finished product was absolutely so sophisticated.
Frank and Sarah were relaxed and calm and just enjoyed the day as it unfolded…. and then, when the music started – they partied it up!
Adam LOVED Sarah’s joyful positive energy. It was so evident that her family and friends adore her and were so thrilled to celebrate her happiness. Jess loved Frank’s calm demeanor and witty sense of humor. When we really click with our clients, it makes everything just that much sweeter. I am so grateful for Frances for introducing us and so thankful to have been a part of this gorgeous wedding. Congratulations again, Sarah and Frank!
