Whether you are newly engaged (CONGRATS!!), or just a fan of Love, Atlanta or heartwarming Engagement Session images…We are SO glad you are here!
We love getting to know our couples even better through an engagement session prior to photographing their wedding day. An engagement session serves as a great “warm-up to the wedding day” to help you get comfortable as a couple in front of the camera! It is a great chance to practice taking direction from your photographer so that on the wedding day, you have it perfected. It is also a great way for the photographer to learn your love language, your comfort level and find organic ways to capture your best moments. Planning your Atlanta Engagement Session should be fun! Here are a few basics to start you off – Along with a whole bunch of our favorite engagement images to inspire you.
Beyond the outfit, setting or lighting, it’s what you wear from ear to ear that is most important! It is the interaction with and the buy-in from our couples that matters most. Turn off your phones, clear your schedule and give your engagement session AND YOUR FIANCE the attention they deserve. Spend this time enjoying “your person” and let the love shine through. You will treasure these images forever.
Location and timing are also key. The best session locations are often meaningful places to you or accents the “look” you are going for. Are you an elegant city-chic Atlanta skyline couple? Or more of a rustic Chattahoochee River fairing pair? Once you know the look you want, pick your season – Spring and Fall are always gorgeous in Atlanta. Regardless of the time of year, we LOVE to begin sessions about two hours before sunset to take advantage of beautiful soft light and avoid harsh shadows and bright sun patches.
Some of our very favorite locations for Atlanta Engagement Sessions are in the images below. From an Atlanta Skyline backdrop at Piedmont Park or Jackson Street Bridge, to funky murals on the Beltline Eastside Trail, to sittin’ pretty on a rock surrounded by nothing but nature on the Chattahoochee River!
Do you want to incorporate the other love of your life, your pet, into your photos? Well…we LOVE that! **Pro Pup Photo Tip: We recommend working fido into the very first part of your session and exercising them prior. This ensures a more adorably calm and camera-ready pet. Then, send fido home with a friend so you and your honey can focus on staring into each other’s eyes instead of chasing Spot ‘the squirrel hunter’ across the park**
