Mollie + Corey | Atlanta History Center

Atlanta History Center GA Wedding Photographer Decisive Moment Photography

Mollie and Corey were married on May 13th, 2017 with a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Atlanta History Center. Melissa Bugg and John S. were on hand to capture this truly amazing event.

Corey is my dream man.

That’s the first line of this adorable couple’s wedding website. Of course, Corey’s section ends with:

Mollie is my best friend, my entire world, the love of my life & I can’t wait to call her my wife.

“I can’t get over how sweet this couple is and how loved they are by all who know them. To know them is to love them. And to know them is to feel loved. They are two incredibly special people. Their love story spans the whole nation, from Georgia to California and back again. Every moment of it is rich with love, sweetness and tenderness.” Melissa Bugg

A lot of people at this wedding were from California, so it had a distinctly laid back west coast vibe. Everyone was warm, incredibly friendly, accommodating, asking if they could help Melissa… and talking about how much they loved Mollie and Corey together.

This couple really was adored by the people in their lives and it’s not hard to see why. Mollie and Corey took so much time and care to make all of their guests feel loved and special. They really infused the event with their caring details and eclectic style!

Mollie and her mother planned the wedding and their family friend, event planner Francee Craig. Francee helped put Mollie’s ideas into action with the help of an incredible team. The perfect intersection of rustic whimsy and funky eclecticism, the Atlanta History Center was transformed! She wanted a whimsical, magical garden feel and even though it was an inside wedding, everything was dripping with flowers and fabric and greenery so it really felt like you were outside. The magnificent chuppah was absolutely stunning indoors!

This bride’s style was so unique- and what’s even better, she had TWO amazing outfits for her wedding. She was absolutely stunning in her ceremony gown, and her mother gifted her with this rad pair of silver Chanel combat boots! Her wedding ring was her mother’s tenth anniversary ring that had been passed down, so it had special significance.  Mollie said, “I love my engagement ring so much more because it’s a gift from the woman I love and look up to most in this world. I think of Corey and my mom every time I look down at my beautiful ring.”

The amount of love that everyone shared for this couple continued into the evening and was called out in the speeches.  The father of the bride talked at length about how thoughtful Mollie is. She is known for her card writing and spends so much time writing sweet and thoughtful notes and sending cards to people for no particular reason other than to say she’s thinking of them. He was especially touched that with everything going on the day of the wedding, that she still took the time to write him a special card.

The party kicked off and everyone danced the night away to the incredible band. They played for 3 hours without stopping once! Everyone was on the dance floor all night it was so fun! The couple also had full access to the entire museum for the wedding, so guests were able to take a look at all of the exhibits throughout the night! So not only did everyone have the chance to dance the night away but they also could learn a little bit of history!

The whole event was such a love-fest that Melissa said she was on a high for a few days. As they were leaving and got in their getaway car, the bride and groom called out to her, “We miss you already, Bugg!” She almost cried it was so sweet.

To know them is to love them. And to know them is to feel loved. They are two incredibly special people.

Congratulations, Mollie and Corey! I’m so happy we were able to be a part of the fairytale start of your life together as husband and wife!

Mollie and Corey wanted to share some valuable wedding advice:
Don’t get sad when it’s all over because your adventure together has just begun! After the honeymoon I got sad for a little bit because everything was over but Corey looked at me and said ‘Babes, it’s just started!’ I guess he was right!
