We have been pretty quiet on the blog this year but in honor of the holiday season, we bring you a wedding story of hardship, hope and a touch of a miracle….

Six years ago, Amy – a young professional beginning her life in Chicago, was hit by a city bus making an illegal turn. Amy survived but the terrifying accident left Amy’s feet completely crushed. It was unclear whether Amy would ever be able to walk again, but on Jan 11 2020, Amy defied all odds as she not only walked, but walked down the aisle to marry Tom. This breath taking Grand Hyatt Buckhead Wedding in Atlanta was a triumphant celebration for all who know this couple and what they have been through. We were thrilled to be able to document this joyous new chapter for Amy and Tom.

Melissa Bugg did an incredible job capturing every step, smile and twinkle light this stunning wedding had to offer – and there were a lot!! Beautifully and meticulously planned by the wonderful Amy Ackerman – this celebration was equal parts stunning and sentimental. Jim White brought Amy’s wedding theme, “a sky full of stars,” to life with twinkling lights that cascaded from the ceiling accented by whimsical floral arrangements. “Jim made my dream come true, I wanted a sky full of stars and he made it happen.. the room was incredible!!!” said the Bride. Amy and Tom’s special day was recently the featured cover story on the Spring 2020 issue of Atlanta Jewish Times Style Magazine.

This story is especially meaningful as we look forward to a fresh new year in 2021. As so many of our couples are currently living through a frustrating year that seems insurmountable, there is always hope, joy and celebration around the corner…
