Saying I Do with the “Inn” Crowd

It’s not every single day that we get to wind our way through the mountains and end up nestled in one of the country’s best kept secrets. I’m talking about The Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina. Continually named a top travel destination (so maybe not really a secret anymore) and constantly praised for it’s spa services, who wouldn’t want their wedding day to be there?

That’s what Lisa and Jonathan thought. They tied the knot at The Farm – Old Edwards Inn’s fantastic and serene special event venue – in an intimate ceremony that summed up their love story to a tee.

“Everything about the wedding day–the weather, their emotions, every romantic detail of the day–it all just fell into place,” lead photographer Adam says. That included a well-timed surprise visit from Lisa’s brother (currently serving in Afghanistan) who was able to surprise her by flying in to walk her down the aisle. (cue the tears!)

And as much as we love getting lucky enough to shoot such awesome couples in these fabulous environments, it’s letters like this that make us extremely proud of what we do…

Dear Adam,

You have outdone yourself with the pictures from our wedding. They are simply amazing and I cannot thank you enough. I have sent the slideshow to people at my work and I have received several replies that they had tears in their eyes while watching- and these are just work colleagues! I think Lisa’s mom had it on auto repeat all night! I just couldn’t wait to say thank you and how much your work has meant to us. The photos are stunning. I hope to keep in touch and I know exactly who to refer our Atlanta area friends to if they have any sort of event to capture.
