Catherine + Jeremy | Family Farm Wedding
One of the most special ways to tie the knot – we think – is at home with family and friends. Yes, there are hundreds of breathtaking venues throughout the city and beyond, but there’s just something about being inside the four walls where you grew up, where your family carries on or in the place where your heart truly resides that makes the big day even better.
When we heard from Jeremy and Catherine that their wedding was going to be at the gorgeous family farmhouse in Cumming, we couldn’t wait to join in on documenting such a special day for them. The celebration was intimate, just about 100 people, so our new shutterbugg, Melissa, made the drive to join the fun.
“The three words that come to mind when I think of their wedding are home, family and love,” Melissa says. “This was a beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception on a horse farm owned by the bride’s parents. A photographer’s dream, the hills were lush, the grass was green and the light was perfect.”
“One thing I loved was how the family traditions and keepsakes were ever present,” Melissa added. “The spirit of loved ones no longer with us and the love of family members made this wedding intimate and special. Plus, as an animal lover myself, their passion for horses and their desire to include their pets in their wedding day hit a soft spot in my heart.”
Ours too… so we can’t help but show off this gorgeous couple’s big day. Enjoy our picks from Melissa’s collection below!
