Zac + Cole | Fox Theatre Wedding - The Decisive Moment Wedding Photojournalism

Zac and Cole were married on June 11 with a stunning, musical and heartfelt ceremony and reception at Atlanta’s fabulous Fox Theatre. I am SO excited to share this gorgeous Fox Theatre Wedding. Love and music were both in the air for this stunning celebration and both grooms were so fun to interact with on the big day.

Zac and Cole really wanted the whole celebration to have a touch of drama, elegance, and romance and they achieved it! The setting was PERFECT! The ceremony was held in the Fox Theater’s Grand Salon where Zac directed a full orchestra. The music was awesome! Zac is an incredible musician and music teacher so it added a really fun and unique element that was so special. They even included a musical fanfare at the start of the wedding after the grandparent and parents were seated.

Zac beautifully played the trumpet for Cole’s entrance. It was such a cool and dramatic moment and I LOVE the picture Jes captured. I love Zac in the foreground with Cole’s anticipation before he enters…. Jes was really proud of this image, a true photojournalist, she is always seeking that image that tells the whole story in one frame. This was one of those moments where she pressed the shutter and thought “BAM! I got it!”

The ceremony was very heartfelt and extra special as family members and friends played big part. After, the reception was held in the Fox Theater’s fabulous Egyptian Ballroom. Through the work of Steve Bales of Bold American Event Design, the ballroom looked spectacular, like something right out of a movie!

Music continued to be the theme of the day as the grooms’ dance and mothers’ dance were accompanied by a live band comprised of best man and good friends. At the end of dinner, Zac surprised Cole with a song he wrote. It was simply magical; truly the sweetest surprise. There were so many special touches and details that reflected the couple – I loved it! They brought so much of themselves into the planning and highlighted so many of their talents and their guest’s talents too!

Courtney Surber Paz did an amazing job bringing all the fun and unique elements of this wedding together. She and Jes are an awesome team together. They share a sense of calm focus on a wedding day which is always a great energy on a day that can be very busy and exciting!

The whole party was filled with so much love and joy and it’s all captured in Zac and Cole’s exit shot. I love the light, the setting – they look like movie stars on a red carpet. All the elements came together on this one for the perfect button to a truly wonderful event.
